Basics on how to use WorldShip (Ale use mostly)
Worldship is a software that belongs to UPS.
- If you have an order that will have to ship on a pallet and a crate, then you need to consider that it weighs 100 lbs plus the weight of the material. You do not need to enter an dimensions in Worldship because it automatically knows the dimensions of it. You will only have to enter the weight.
- The weight of a pallet is 80 lbs plus you have to consider the weight of the material you are sending out.
- If you are sending out slatwall, please not that each box weighs about 40 lbs. You would have to add 40lbs and 80 lbs (weight of pallet) to figure out your total weight. You will ship slatwall via freight if it's 3 boxes or more. When selecting UPS Freight, under description you need to select HW/SLATWALL PALLET the rest automatically will be filled out. All you have to do is enter the weight of the package.
- Example: If you were to send out a few tall doors, bottoms and shelves (less than 10 pieces) you will select the description that says "85"x40" OSB Top" This will be the same as the rest of them, everything will be filled out automatically. You will only need to enter the weight of the entire shipment.
- VERY IMPORTANT WHEN GIVING A QUOTE ON SHIPPING: Take whatever the quote is and times it by 1.3 (this is our upcharge) then add $6 if it is shipping on a crate.
