How to Cancel an Order

Refund without Charging Credit Card Fees:

  • Go to Shopify – Click on the order that you want to cancel.
  • Under More Actions (top of page), select Cancel Order.
  • If you are refunding the full amount of the order, you will select the ‘Now’ option.
  • Select Reason for Cancellation by clicking the dropdown arrow.
  • Enter a short note describing the reason for cancellation.
  • Leave box checked to send notification to the customer.
  • Click ‘Cancel Order’
  • Go to the Deal in Pipe Drive, reopen it and mark it as ‘Lost’.
  • Go to the project as well and mark that as "cancelled". This can be found on top right hand corner of the project.

Refund with charging 6% credit card fees for cancelation:

  • Go to Shopify – Click on the order that you want to cancel.
  • Under More Actions (top of page), select Cancel Order.
  • You will select the ‘Later’ option.
  • Select Reason for Cancellation by clicking the dropdown arrow.
  • Enter a short note describing the reason for cancellation.
  • Uncheck the box to send notification to the customer.
  • Click ‘Cancel Order’
  • After Canceling – go back to the canceled order in Shopify.
  • Select ‘Refund’ (at top of page)
  • Enter in Short note describing Reason for Refund (at bottom of page)
  • Enter in Refund Amount. We do charge a 6% credit card fee for cancelation. You will need to deduct this from their refund. (ex. $5,000.00 order – 6% = $300.00)
  • Send a Notification to the Customer.
  • Click ‘Refund
  • Go to the Deal in Pipe Drive, reopen it and mark it as ‘Lost’.
  • Go to the project as well and mark that as "cancelled". This can be found on top right hand corner of the project.
  • Update the Project under Accounting Notes. Enter in the date, why canceled, refund (if any).
